Pursuant to 58-31-4 NMSA 1978, the New Mexico Spaceport Authority Board of Directors meets at the call of the chair and shall meet in regular session at least once every three months. The authority is required to maintain written minutes of all meetings and meetings are conducted pursuant to the New Mexico Open Meetings Act (NMSA 1978, Chapter 10, Article 15).

Under the Inspection of Public Records Act (NMSA 1978, Chapter 14, Article 2), every person has the right to inspect public records of the New Mexico Spaceport Authority. Compliance with requests to inspect public records is an integral part of the routine duties of the officers and employees of NMSA.

In compliance with the Inspection of Public Records Act (NMSA 1978, chapter 14, Article 2, Section 14-2-9), NMSA allows four alternatives for records requests:
Upon receiving an IPRA request, NMSA staff will identify the documents and provide the requestor with an estimate to create copies. Payment in full must be received before the documents are delivered.
