NMSA Issues RFP for Space Operations Services PDF Print E-mail

PURPOSE OF THIS REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to request proposals for Space Operations Services related to the New Mexico Spaceport Authority. More specifically, activities include, but are not limited to, providing labor and materials required for:

  • Development of policies and procedures for horizontal (in coordination with Virgin Galactic) and vertical launch activities;
  • Performance of airfield and operations drills and exercises based on new policies and procedures, which may include coordination of 3rd party R&D support, air and space vehicle ground support, airfield operations (FBO-like services), radio frequency management, meteorological support and record keeping;
  • Development of policies and procedures for flight safety engineering and support, including liaison with White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and others;
  • Development of procedures to maintain Spaceport Site Licenses; and
  • Development of procedures for the monitoring of technical equipment.
