Key Events for 2006
- Lonnie Sumpter gave an update on launch readiness. He stated that White Sands Missile Range's scheduling for September is complete, and to expect a firm launch date the last week of September.
- The Authority voted to approve the Request for Proposal for an Environmental Impact Study contractor.
- Chairman Homans announced that an appraisal from Nancy Long was completed last week and there will be a meeting to follow including himself, the ranchers, and associated attorneys.
- Homans stated that there have been several meetings with Virgin Galactic and drafts of the lease document are being reviewed.
