By powering the nation’s first purpose-built commercial spaceport, Spaceport America, with clean, abundant solar energy, the world will look to New Mexico as the leader in implementing renewable energy solutions!

Become a partner by marketing your company’s brand alongside Spaceport America, the leading brand in the commercial space industry.

LOCATION - Southern New Mexico is home to some of the highest solar energy potential, measured in G-values, in the United States, according to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. In fact, New Mexico has the second highest solar energy potential in the nation, and the state has instituted a Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard the requires 20 percent of the state’s energy to come from renewable sources by 2020. It pays to have a governor that was a former Energy Secretary for the United States!

MARKETING – Already receiving international media interest, Spaceport America is the perfect opportunity to gain exposure for a ‘real-world’ showcase for solar energy technology. Publicity has also followed Virgin Galactic and the development of their commercial spaceline, which is expected to be headquartered at Spaceport America. Be a stop on the Spaceport tour!

INCENTIVES – Spaceport America pays for the infrastructure to hook up to the grid, buys back the power generated, and can assist in helping you acquire financing. Forward-thinking companies can also take advantage of more than a dozen New Mexico tax credits and incentives for expansion or relocation of operations, such as:

  • Solar Tax Credit
  • Solar GRT Exemption
  • Governor’s Energy Innovation Fund
  • Sustainable Building Tax Credit
  • Renewable Energy Income Tax Credit
  • Advanced Energy Product Manufacturers Tax Credit
  • R&D GRT Tax Deduction
  • R&D Small Business Tax Credit
  • Technology Jobs Tax Credit
  • High Wage Jobs Tax Credit
  • Job Training Incentive Program
  • Rural Jobs Tax Credit
  • Industrial Revenue Bonds

WORKFORCE - New Mexico has a highly educated and skilled technical labor pool, with the highest number of Ph.D.s and engineers as a percentage of the workforce of all 50 states. New Mexico is also home to numerous government, military, and academic research institutions including Sandia and Los Alamos National Labs, the Air Force Research Lab, NASA White Sands Test Facility, and the University of New Mexico, New Mexico Tech, San Juan College and New Mexico State University’s Southwest Technology Development Institute.
